Partying on the Deck

Last Saturday we held a end of year party at home. We have a large covered deck area ideal for just such an occasion. All photos were taken with the Fuji HS10 and post processing done in Photoscape 3.5 with final touch-ups as needed in Lightroom 3.

It was a great evening and one we will probably repeat next year as well. The good thing about photography is the ability to catch people having fun, and being spontaneous.

To round off the nights festivities we had a live band. These young lads are a local group with a great deal of talent who are just starting out on their musical careers. Of course it helps that two of the members of the band are also our neighbours sons.
During the coarse of the evening I was able to take several shots that show the energy of this young group. Not only do they sound good but they certainly looked the part. Well done lads!!
