A tired old shed

Snapped this old timer on the lower Kaimai Ranges on Wednesday on the way home.

Light was terrible, and it made for very variable shooting conditions. The road was quieter than normal so was able to take advantage of a small gateway area to stop and get these shots. This particular shed has been here for a long as I remember. When we moved to Tauranga in 1968 it looked a little less world weary than now. It has seen substantial weathering since then. Like all these old sheds they would have been made from native timbers and painted to maintain their weather fastness. One can only speculate as to what it looked like new.
